Meet the Founder
Kudzi Mawire brings to Grace Essentials Bible College a wealth of experience gained through walking and working with God in ministry, the academia, marketplace and as a happily married family man.
Background
Kudzi started public ministry in 1990 and was actively involved in church planting in Zimbabwe (1993), Norway (1998), the United Kingdom (2006), Gauteng South Africa (2017), online ministries (2019-2024), and in Nairobi, Kenya (2024). He pastored for over 22 years, including 14 years as senior pastor, and has taught at Trondheim Bible Mission School (TBM) in Norway. His ministry is well received across nations and social divides. For example, the ministry in Norway had representation from 42 nations across all continents, comprising professors, expatriates, university students, professionals, skilled and semi-skilled workers, families, refugees, and housemaids. Presently, Kudzi has daily devotionals delivered via social media and various platforms across the world, a personalized ministry that started as far back as 2006 and has evolved with technology.
Kudzi is devoted to Margrate, his lovely wife of 33 years, and their two beautiful daughters, Rejoice and Loving-Grace. His family has been a constant source of support and inspiration in his ministry journey, and together they share a passion for spreading the gospel and serving communities worldwide.
Ministry History
He received Bible teaching from both Pentecostal and grace-based Bible colleges/schools. His hands-on approach to ministry and gift as a Bible-teacher became evident when he developed in his local church, teaching materials for new believers’ Foundation Classes as early as 1994. Kudzi kept ablaze this gift from God over the years and has since written six books that address doctrinal and practical issues in ministry and the marketplace. At the start of covid-19 in 2020, God impressed on him to quickly develop a grace-based curriculum that helped hundreds of believers to stay focused on Christ during the pandemic and came out stronger to possess the inheritance in Christ. This became the last step leading to the birth of Grace Essentials Bible College that is today.
Professional Background
Kudzi Mawire is also an accomplished academic at university level, holding a PhD and has served as Chairman of a university department with an academic staff establishment of 18. He served as chairman of the Department’s Board of Examiners, was a member of the Faculty Board of Examiners and served as a member of the University Senate. Presently he is an External Examiner for a university in South Africa.
In the marketplace, Kudzi has over 35 years experience during which he founded an engineering consultancy firm in 1993, registered a book publishing company in 2008, and has held senior leadership and management positions in international firms. During his stint in the marketplace, Kudzi saw the need to equip believers with the gospel truth from a marketplace perspective, to help believers to tap into the power of the cross for their daily use in the marketplace. This is one of the key drivers behind starting Grace Essentials Bible College, in addition to playing a part in the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
Life at the Bible College
At Grace Essentials Bible College Kudzi is working with staff who have decades of walking and working with the Lord at pastoral, church planting, marketplace leadership, and Bible school-teaching levels.
